A Reiki lineage is like a family tree. All Reiki practitioners and Masters should be able to trace back their lineage in an unbroken line to the founder of the system of Reiki, Mikao Usui. 

I was trained in both the Japanese and Western styles of Usui Reiki, therefor my lineage, and those of anyone who studies Reiki under me, shows two lines.
