Reiki brings about change and the change is always positive.
Reiki is a complimentary, holistic healing system developed in Japan in 1922. The word Reiki can be translated as “divinely guided energy”. Reiki practitioners consciously connect to Reiki and then we allow the energy to flow through our hands which we place directly on the body or a few inches above. We can also send healing energy over a distance, transcending time and space. Reiki will flow where it is needed the most, allowing the body to heal itself.

Reiki therapy (Online, Remote Session)
Reiki energy healing treatments can be “sent” to anywhere in the world because it’s not bound by geographical constraints. Commonly referred to Distance Reiki or Remote Reiki, these energy healing treatments transcends the boundaries of time and space.
You might wonder, “How can one possibly send healing energy across continents?” A simple analogy can help explain how Distance Reiki works: Consider the waves of the ocean. While each wave can be seen individually and acts independently, they all originate from the same immense body of water. Similarly, we, as the Reiki client and Reiki practitioner, might seem seperate from one another, but we’re interlinked by the universal healing energy. This sense of Oneness makes it possible that whether we’re miles apart or just next door, the healing effect of Reiki remains unchanged. Therefore no matter where I am and where you are, a Remote Reiki treatment is just as effective as an in-person treatment.
Your Remote Reiki Session: What to expect
1. Initial Consultation: The session starts with a short meeting via Google Meet. This is the time for us to discuss your motivation for seeking Reiki therapy. I also use this time to assess the health and vitality of your seven chakras.
2. Reiki Therapy Commences: After our chat, I’ll end the video call and I start your Reiki therapy. People’s experiences with Reiki can vary. Some report sensations of warmth or cold, visualizing colors, or feeling a gentle pressure, while others might feel a mixture of these or nothing at all. Sometimes the effect of Reiki is dramatic, and at other times more subtle and noticed only after a while. All of this is normal. Regardless of your experience, rest assured, Reiki is working. It will rebalance the chakras, clear stagnant energy, and stimulate your body to heal itself on the physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual level.
3. Post-Session: After 30 minutes, the therapy will come to an end. I will not contact you again, in stead I leave it to you to contact me if you would like to share your thoughts about the session.
As with most medical treatments, healing takes time. I find that the effects of Reiki is usally felt strongest about two or three days after a treatment and continues to work for at least three weeks. Many of my clients find that Reiki therapy once a month, or every two months, is a good way to keep on top of their general wellbeing.
Cost for 1 hour remote chakra balancing and Reiki therapy treatment: R450 / £40 / €45 / $48.
Contact me to book you appointment. Please note that an appointment is not confirmed until I have been in touch by email and payment has been received.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy healing system, developed by a Japanese scholar Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century. During a treatment, the natural healing energy is transferred from the Reiki practitioner to the client, where it brings about balance and reinforces the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reiki supports, and enhances, other forms of treatment, and as such is a complimentary therapy.
Is Reiki safe?
Yes, it is safe for everyone. It's a non-invasive complimentary therapy with no reported side-effects. In fact, Reiki is offered as a complementary therapy to cancer patients by the Barts Health NHS Trust and also at many hospitals in the USA.
What about Reiki and religion?
Reiki is not a religion. It's a form of energy healing with no religious affiliations. I have written a blog article specifically about reconciling Religion with Reiki. Visit the blog page to to read the article.
What can Reiki treat?
Reiki has the ability to reinforce the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. This means it can alleviate pain and aid in the healing of injuries and post-surgery soreness. Reiki can aid in detoxification of the body and improve overall health. On an emotional level, it can be used to treat anxiety, stress, grief, sleep problems, release emotional blockages. On a mental level, it can increase concentration and provide mental clarity. Please remember that Reiki is a complementary therapy. As such, it should not be used in the place of medically directed treatments or medicines.
What does Reiki feel like?
The Reiki experience differs from person to person. Common sensations you might become aware of during a Reiki treatment are warmth or cold at some points along your body, you might see colours or visions, have a tingling sensation, feel a vague "pulling" sensation from your head or your feet, slight pressure, or a floating sensation. Reiki can also sometimes cause a release of emotions. You may also feel absolutely nothing. Or all of these. The most significant effect that Reiki will have is deep relaxation. So even if you don't have a physical sensation, you can rest assured that your energy field is becoming balanced, which starts the process of self-healing and leads to a greater sense of calm and stress relief.
